Corn Muffins

Serve:

12 muffins


1/4 c Shortening
1/4 c White sugar
2 tb Cornstarch
2 tb Vinegar
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 c Flour
1 c Cornmeal
1 c Water

Cream the shortening and sugar. Add the cornstarch, vinegar & salt.
Alternately beat in the remaining ingredients, mixing well. Spoon
into a well oiled muffin tin. Bake at 400F for 20 minutes or until
golden.
